Thoughts on the novel (spoilers for both novel and the online Bonus Scenario!):
I like what Flight-Plan is doing by showing us more stories for this game by going through the novel and the Bonus Scenarios on the website. After reading the novel and the online Bonus Scenario, we can see that they go in one straight line towards the game. The online Bonus Scenario happened a few days (maybe a week or two) after the novel and the game starts off probably a week or two after the online BS, too. A lot of things I've been wondering about in the game finally got answered through these two medias. Questions like why Kaito wasn't in school, how did he cope with his powers before Suihi came up with Dragunar Mode and so on. Also, you get to see a lot more friendship moments between Shizui and Kaito. Shizui didn't show up enough in the game for us to understand his character and I thought he was suspicious in the game but it does turn out he cares for Kaito deeply inside. *pushes aside urges to pair the two up* So, um, after reading the online BS and knowing more of what goes on in Shizui's head, I realized I like him a lot. ;_; *gives him a hug* If the game does get a sequel and he makes another appearance there, I hope he doesn't show up with a bad matrix infection... Speaking of sequels, if there's one I bet Aki will show up there. As a varliant too! XD Kaname, too, but that's only if someone visits Kaito's school. But wow, to see Kaito having such a deep connection with his ancestor is quite... wow. Ancestor-san, I wanna draw you someday! ;_; And I had to LOL on how Avie turns out to be the main villain in the novel. Since both Avie and Laika use guns and both like using the computer, I bet these two always race to outbid each other on online gun auctions without knowing who's on the other side. :P "Argh, it's that Varliant_Mania again! The first chapter is more like a prologue/preview chapter, where it starts off from [spoilers!]thebattlewiththelastfullmoons
Art looks great, but I kinda don't like the artist's choice of screentones. (thin lineart with big-dot screentones don't go together!!) Action scenes are too messy that I can't make out where is what unless I stae long enough. But overall, the manga kinda captures the same feel you get in the game. Except that now the hero speaks for himself, of course. And he gets the name Arisato Minato.

I think using an artistic style like that is half the author's personal expression and half ingenuity. XD At least in animation, it's a lot easier to imply things than to draw everything. But I guess it's also easier to make it confusing that way. XD Seems to fit the game well, though!

Hmm, the KH2 novel scans made me remember something that got me intrigued.
You said in an other post that in the 4th novel not even Riku knew where he got Kairi's keyblade. I was curious about how exactly that goes, someone asks and he simply says he has no idea? I mean, it appeared on his hand from nowhere? o.o

PERSONA 3 MANGA WINS. what mag does it run in, tho for the manga i think im patient enough to wait for the first tankouben to come out since i havent finished the game yet (i waste too much time fusing persona and levelling up to get stronger ones XD;;; im super overpowered...)
also i used my chinese name for the main chara since you only get three characters to write it with XD;;;
and YAY for dogs b&c i cant wait to read it <3 i dont think anyone is scanning dogs, someones releasing scanslations tho of it, but really slowly, like months and months after a chapter has been published, and not translated very well, plus im not interested in scanslations since i can read japanese and prefer to read manga that way XD;;
They're one or two chapters behind, but its not as bad as it used to be.
The translation isn't perfect, but it isn't horrendous either.
I enjoyed their work on the first DOGS manga, anyway. It managed to keep the humor and attitude.

personally i wdnt want to translate dogs because its soooo freakin slangy, so im sure the scanslator is doing the best s/he can with the kind of dialogue miwa writes haha. mind you i tend to think that even the translations in official english versions of manga by tokyopop and whatever other companies there are also suck, so im just bitchy. XD
It's like they got a third grader to write their scripts, they're so awkward, clunky, censored and ridiculous >_<
It's an insult to the original work.
The only commercial translator I really like is Del Ray.
There may be mistakes made in fan translations, but they aren't being SOLD under a name with authority as accurate and true -_-; Anyone who reads scanlations should know translations are up to interpretation...

Itoh Yu...oh, that manga, the one about the white tiger troopers =O i glanced through the first 4 volumes, and it seemed a bit unruly. The art style isn't bad, in fact I like it, but it's not exactly those pretty ones either. Lol, i like how the main character is a realist/evil commander =p not the kinky evil like Lulu, though.
DOGS is already on 17? i thought the last issue was 16...must have counted wrong *counts again*
